Movia was commissioned by North One Television and Sixfootsix on behalf of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and AOB (Athens Olympic Broadcasting) to produce elements used in the opening title sequence for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
The titles were broadcast across the world on the night of the Opening Ceremony on August 13, 2004 on screens in the Olympic Stadium throughout the evening and internationally for the duration of the games.
Directed by Daryl Goodrich (live action), Mike Parry and Jan Hallet (graphic design), the sequence takes the idea of a timeline and retrospectively looks back 2000 years into Greek sporting history; taking the viewer on a journey from ancient Greece into the modern age.
